This image appeared by “chance” as a digital compilation of two other paintings. We were looking for images for my Facebook header and had the image Natural Balance along with an image of Land of I Am as layers in photoshop. As we were trying to decide which to use we playfully overlapped them and I was astounded by the result. After several hours of tweaking, this image was born. I was instantly given the title Casting the Net. More than a year later, I had some prints at our local Center for Spiritual Living, and was approached by a woman who wanted to buy a notecard of this piece. She said she was a member of The Grandmothers and it reminded her of what they did. She then told me their slogan was “Casting the Net of Light.” I turned the card over to show her the title of the image. Giclée prints are available.
